BSH HISTORY
The Brazilian program to convert the external debt in the mid 80’s, has attracted lots of companies deeply interested in new investments in Brazil. The tourist activities, especially in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, which had a high foreign travelers potential, were a part of this roll of interests.
At this time the Brazilian economical scenario was in recession, and currency market as well as rate inflation had reached high levels of instability. There were no reasons to think about hotel industry investments in Brazil, once this business depends on macroeconomics stability for long states period investments.
BSH appears and grows amid this environment of deep transformation.
In January 2nd of 1989, the BSH International is established, and the Brazilian market starts counting with a company that spends efforts for a supported market growth. The BSH aims assistance at hotel investors, developers, hoteliers, builders and governmental authorities.
From now on, BSH has assisted several international hotel companies introduction in Brazil, such as, Sol Meliá (1989), SuperClubs (1998), Kempinski (1999), Sonesta (2000), Howard Johnson (2001) and Tivoli (2003).
From 1997, performing through decisive support of SUDENE (supervision of northeast development), the BSH International started developing and organizing the annual International Hotel & Resort Investment Seminar, the largest event of its kind in Latin America.
The BSH International was also responsible for the creation and introduction of Condo Hotel and “hotel asset management services” in Brazil. Moreover, the BSH has been developing marketing trend reports, which publish statistics data and also offer specifics analyses and knowledge to its market segment.
Keeping up commitment, dedication, professionalism and fidelity to its ideal, BSH has consolidated itself as the main Brazilian company in planning consulting area, as such as hotel development projects and hotel asset management.
